I\u2019ve been wondering how this all fits together. Much like a recipe would. You have to have the right ingredients; otherwise the half-baked muffin will leave you wondering whether you managed to put one teaspoon, or one tablespoon of bicarb.<\/p>\n

Much like this collection of writings. Some are travels from my previous life (pre-marriage, porridge and pre-school). And some will be anecdotes from today. Or yesterday: when I had to scratch through an overflowing bucket of lost property at my sons\u2019 school. And on that particular day, the title that came to mind was: an Ode to lost property. But it all made and makes up who I am today.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m a firm believer in time. And there being a Time for Everything. A time to fly first class Swiss air (wearing a summer skirt and wondering what merges and interest rates other passengers were referring to)\u2026and a time a to roast chick-peas for my sons\u2019 lunch boxes tomorrow.<\/p>\n

The travel articles you will find here are mostly from my aforementioned \u2018previous life\u2019: the kind where I would be working on a Friday afternoon, receive a phone call, to be asked whether I could possibly get on a London-bound flight that night. All I had to do was visit a few hotels, attend a meeting, and fly home. That life. \u00a0And why me? \u2018Well\u2019, the editor said, \u2018we all know that you\u2019re the only one with an EU passport who doesn\u2019t need a visa\u2019.<\/p>\n

Touche. I was on that bird before you could sneeze.<\/p>\n

And though my travels finally came to an end, my writing didn\u2019t have to. And so here I sit, with all my offspring asleep, writing in this Time. As opposed to the one that was. In all its glory, this too has a glory of its own:\u00a0 one which is arguably of much greater worth.<\/p>\n

So this blog will be dedicated to very particular (yet un-themed) topics. Whatever captures the attention. Whatever burns on my heart and can only come out in words. Whatever should be said, but isn’t.<\/p>\n

So welcome to this Place. Hopefully it’ll be like having a cup of tea and a chat, around a small wooden kitchen table. With a Muffin. The Ministry of Muffins.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
